  • Again & Again

This is an absolutely AWESOME video. Seriously.

  • Webmaster Jam Session ’08

I submitted my registration to attend the 2008 Webmaster Jam Session this October 3-4 in Atlanta, GA. I attended last year’s event in Dallas, TX and loved it. The fact that it’s so close to home made it a no-brainer for me to attend it again. This time, at least one or two coworkers will be coming along as well.

If you’re on the fence about going, let me put it to you this way: I got more out of this two-day conference than I have from other high-profile events I’ve attended. Last year’s event featured speakers such as Jared Spool, Molly Holzschlag, Michael Lopp and many more. Topics range from SEO, Typography, CSS, Usability, etc. Fact is, you’re bound to find more than a few sessions that will appeal to you. Oh, and did I mention that registration is only $199? Yeah. Seriously.

If you’re going, or thinking about going, let me know!

    Sad, but true.

This makes me laugh every time I see it.

    Jonathan Coulton, Paul and Storm
    View Slideshow

Wyatt, Ian, Jenni and I made the trek to Atlanta, GA over the weekend to see Jonathan Coulton live at the Variety Playhouse. Paul and Storm were a great opening act, and Coulton did not disappoint. The show was three hours of geekiness, and I couldn’t be happier to have been in attendance. (Wyatt’s thoughts can be read here: Nerdfest 2008)

Prior to the show, we grabbed a quick dinner at Sweet Lime, a Thai and sushi restaurant located right down the street from the Variety Playhouse. I played it safe by getting Spicy Shrimp Rolls and California Rolls, but everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered.

Wyatt, thanks for letting me tag along on your birthday outing. I had a fantastic time!

  • A More Perfect Union

One of the most moving speeches I’ve heard.

  • Baby Names 2.0

Baby Names inspired by text messaging, Web 2.0 I guess I should have named my son Tai’lr, Tailur, Tylr or some variation thereof. I’m down with individuality and whatnot, but people are going to have problems 1) pronouncing these names; and 2) spelling them.

  • Autocomplete FTL

    Autocomplete?

Sometimes auto-complete is completely wrong. I started typing Wyatt’s email address and auto-complete suggested "homo" instead of "gomi"…

    Awesome Sky 008

This photo was taken outside the offices of PowerServe in Augusta, GA on November 27, 2007. This beautiful scene stayed in place and gradually shifted through shades of orange and pink for nearly a half hour. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in my life. (View more photos in this set.)

BTW, if you dig the photo, consider digging it. Thanks!
