500 Million Downloads and counting
Mozilla is celebrating the 500 millionth download of its popular browser Firefox. You’ve come a long way, baby.

Wonder how many users that equals. Cause I’m pretty sure I’ve downloaded it at least 250 times between all the machines I work on.

I would definitely say that “500 million downloads and counting” != 500 million users. It’s probably more like 40-50 million, but I could be wrong. According to these stats, Firefox is hovering at around a 28% market share… and most casual estimates put Firefox at 20-25% of the current browser market… So my 40-50 million guesstimate could be way off…

Regardless… I’m happy it’s made as much progress as it has. I just wish they’d fix the friggin memory leaks that plague it.
