Effercio Blue

Information on this theme can now be found on this dedicated page: Themes > Effercio. This post will no longer be updated.

Well, the time is here. As promised yesterday, I’m releasing Effercio Blue into the wild. You can snag it here:

A demo of the site can be found here.

Obviously, I’m expecting there to be issues. If you happen to find any that make the theme unusable for you, please let me know.

The theme includes:

If you’re wondering what the rationale behind the name is… effercio is Latin for “stuff”, and that’s what my site’s all about… Anyway, I hope you enjoy the theme! Let me know what you think!

Addendum

Enjoy!

Awesome! Thanks for releasing this into the wild, Chris! I’ll be playing with it this weekend and let you know if I find any issues.

Can you do me a huge favor and tell me what plugins you use for your own site? If not, I understand… I just like some of the things you have here. Thanks!!

That’s actually a call to a function that’s available in WordPress 2.3. (It’s currently still in Beta.) Removing it should solve the problem if you’re using an older version.

As for which plugins do I use … I don’t mind answering that. I’ll actually write a post on it…

Thanks! I commented it out, but I am going to go ahead and upgrade to the latest version while I’m at it.

WOW! Thanks Chris… I’ve implemented your template, upgarded to the 2.3 beta and all is well. I still have a lot of tweaking to do but I’m off to a great start. Thanks so much for making your template available. It is sooooo much better than what I had before.

    Hi Chris,

I’ve implemented it at my site http://www.christhis.com and have a few issues so far.

    header.php line 42
replaced with “/” since the link was
    http://www.christhis.com/ChrisTHIS!
    instead of
    http://www.christhis.com/

    that one is fixed :)

Still working on this one… is there a plugin I’m missing?

    archive page
    http://www.christhis.com/archives/124/every-kid-should-have-an-apple-iic
    Get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function the_tags() in
    wp-content/themes/effercio-blue/single.php on line 25

Found another odd one… in single.php I found this:

    script src=”http://feeds.feedburner.com/~s/cdharrison?i=” type=”text/javascript” charset=”utf-8″

Not sure what it does, but I replaced cdharrison with “thischris” which is my own feedburner

Ah, I missed that script call… I’ll remove it from the uploaded files. It’s for the Feedburner blog stats stuff…

The background looks like toilet tiles.
In general, it is the most beautiful theme I’ve ever seen.
