Here's a clue... Apple's created a mechanism that makes it easier for content creators to sell music and or videos to buyers. While I'm not happy with the DRM situation, it's tolerable ONLY because I can take the shows and music I buy off of iTunes with me. Yes, NBC can take the content and try to sell it direct, but I <strong>guarantee</strong> it won't do nearly as well as it did while on iTunes. People bought NBC's shows off of iTunes because it was convenient and relatively affordable. Good luck with the new venture, I'll be counting the seconds until it fails miserably. Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle for buying the DVDs when they come out and ripping my own iPod-friendly files. I know several people that watched the entire Heroes season exclusively over iTunes and everyone buys episodes of The Office. I'm just glad it's not Lost that we're losing. An interesting note, the Heroes pilot from season 1 is now available for free in HiDef on the Xbox 360 Marketplace... maybe they're switching platforms? Craziness.
