I got Super Paper Mario a couple of weeks ago and have yet to play. Zelda was cool. If you're looking for another wii remote, you can't lose by getting Wii Play. (It's $50 and comes with a wii-mote.)

The electronics store I visited earlier in the week which told me they were expecting a shipment of Friday still still had one when I got off of work. The Wii is great....now I just have to determine what all games I want. Currently, all I have is Wii Sports and Zelda. Paper Mario looks cool and so does Sonic, but I haven't played either.

I haven't used Vista yet, but I'm in no hurry to either. I mean what does it offer other than Aero and UAC? Seems like Microsoft is just trying to catch up to OS X. Plus, Vista (or as some say Beasta) has too much DRM baked in for my liking.

You're right, Adobe doesn't have any real competitors. Apple offers a few things, but that is a limited market and they only make extremely high end software.

Open Source is good for a few users, but they aren't quite good enough for professionals such as yourself.

BTW, I got a Wii last night!!!

I can't blame them for being slow on Vista support. Vista sucks ;) Arrogance is probably the root problem here. Adobe has no real competitor since it gobbled up Macromedia. (All the Corel fans can commence on the hatin'!) There's nothing to push them anymore. Nice link, btw. I think open-source apps can be viable replacements for some users, but not all. It's nice to know there are some options for those who are truly fed up.

It's hard to believe a company like Adobe would ship a product with so many problems. CS3 is what makes Adobe who they are so if they're not careful they'll lose loyal fans to competitors. Too bad their aren't more of them. It seems Adobe is a bit arrogant with their own stuff. Not only did they wait around to release updates for the Intel Macs, they seem to be slow with Vista support as well.

I only own an older version of Photoshop so the CS3 problems don't affect me. However, I sense the frustation of the CS3 user base. Hopefully, everyone will flood Adobe's mailbox and Adobe will speed up the problems. Until then check out download.com's feature on rolling your CS3 for free.
