I loved the old IconBuffet site immensely. I love the new site even more. Firewheel Design took a simple task - collecting icons - and turned it to an fun and engaging community. I’ve jokingly said that collecting icons is like collecting Pokemon: Gotta catch ‘em all. New sets come out each week, and there’s definitely some excitement in trying to get the new sets before anyone else.
- You can earn points by inviting friends, and sending/accepting deliveries.
- You can earn badges for different milestones. There are badges for collecting x number of Silver Medal deliveries, having x number of Manhattan icons, etc.
- You can become a VIP where you get more tokens each month for downloading free deliveries PLUS you get 20% off stock icon sets from Iconbuffet.

Yeah the new Icon Buffet definitely is cool. You run out of tokens necessary to get new icon sets way too quickly though. Sigh…I’ve missed out on so many icons people have sent me because I don’t have any tokens and have to wait till next month before I can ask to get more. :(
Other than that it’s great. :)
I agree. I have to wait three more days before my tokens are replenished. Fortunately I had most of the icons before they switched to the new site. (Thank goodness for the folks in the Godbit forums!) I’m missing the latest three releases though… and unless a Chef send them to me for free, I’ve got to be patient :)
