Nothing reminds me of my childhood more than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Me and my two brothers loved them. My parents fueled our obsessions by getting us all things Turtle: action figures, vehicles, clothing, you name it.

Watching the new TMNT movie reminded me how much I loved the Turtles. The animation was awesome. The story was pretty good, albeit geared more towards kids than adults. I really enjoyed the trip down memory lane. The best part about the movie is that they left it open for sequels… I can’t wait to introduce these characters to my son once he is old enough.

Official verdict: 7/10. The movie was good, but it wasn’t great. The animation really stood out, but the story could have been a bit better. Having said all that, though, I would definitely see it again.
