Somehow missed this earlier this week… I got sidetracked by the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time announcement and didn’t realize other games were released on the Wii Virtual Console. I’m going to do something a little different this week and start linking the game titles to their Wikipedia entries. I’ve chosen to do this because the entries on Wikipedia are a lot more thorough than what can be found on the Nintendo site. So, without further adieu…
February 26, 2007 — Today Nintendo adds three new classic games to the popular Wii™ video game system’s Wii Shop Channel. The games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the channel every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week’s new games are:
- The Legend of Zelda®: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64®, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points)
- Bio-Hazard Battle™ (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
- Chew Man Fu (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, 600 Wii Points)
