Chapter 21: The Path of the Righteous

A new graphic novel was posted today, February 20th, to the official Heroes website. This week’s story revolves around Hana aka “Wireless”:

Hana Gitelman was an Israeli Mosad Operative until the man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses changed her life.

The man said he was with the CIA and that Hana was being recruited into a special program. Hana discovered that she has a spectacular ability. Hana can sense wireless communication. Her mind acts like a computer and interprets e-mails, text message and satellite signals being sent wirelessly all across the world. This ability has made Hana the perfect spy.

The man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses lied to her. He was not part of the CIA. He manipulated her. Changed her. She went underground looking for whatever lead she could find. She found Ted Sprague. The man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses got to Ted too.

They were determined to find the man in the Horn-Rimmed Glasses and make him pay.

The graphic novel comes in two flavors: interactive or printable [PDF]. Choose your poison.

If you’re not familiar with the graphic novel, you should be! (You can read all of the past graphic novels here.) In most cases they pick up right where the television show leaves you and fill in additional back story between episodes.

  1. I just gotta say that after last night’s episode I am completely hooked. I will have to start reading the novels soon. Thanks for the posts.

  2. No problem. The graphic novels, while not an integral part of the show, provide much needed back-story to help fill in some of the gaps. I’ve been keeping up with them since the very beginning… but you can catch up with all of them in an hour or so.

Each is about 7-8 pages long… some are incredibly insightful. Especially last week’s… which dealt with Sylar. It was one of the best illustrated, and most revealing stories yet.

  4. Proverbs 4:18 - But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

Not sure if the connection was intended or not…

  6. I’m wondering if the title of this week’s graphic novel didn’t have some sort of Biblical connection… I could help but think of the ‘Ezekiel 25:17′ scene from Pulp Fiction, so I did a search in the ESV for “The Path of the Righteous” and sure enough… it appears in the Bible:

Proverbs 4:18 - But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.

Not sure if the connection was intended or not…
