Lioness Kills Man

An unfortunate incident occured in Kiev, where a lioness kills a man who tried to invoke God.

KIEV (Reuters) - A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal’s enclosure.

“The man shouted ‘God will save me, if he exists’, lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions,” the official said.

“A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery.”

I pray for the family of the man that lost his life. He put his life in jeopardy and died trying to have the existence of God proven to him. To think that if we believe enough, or have enough faith, or do enough good things, God will reveal himself us is only fooling ourselves. We can never believe enough, we can never have enough faith, and we can never do enough good things to please God. It’s only by His grace that we’re still alive.

This poor guy died believing God would protect him from the lion. It’s not that God won’t protect us. It’s that God doesn’t have to justify His existence to anyone.
