Reflecting back on 2005
2005 has been an awesome year.
I’m not just saying that.
My whole approach on life has changed significantly over the past few months. I rediscovered God. I started going to church. I started reading a lot more. I’m still the same ol’ Chris, but then again, I’m not. I’m different. I’ve changed. And I continue to change. God is pretty amazing.
My wife and I are expecting our first child in 15 short days. Talk about a life-changing event! Little Tyler will be here on 12/20 and I’m so looking forward to his arrival. I never in a million years thought I would have a child at this point in my life, but looking back, I can’t imagine not being in this position. I needed for this to happen in my life. I think it’s forced me to grow up somewhat and look at things from a different vantage point. I can’t be as selfish as I’ve been in the past. Now I’ll have a child that will be completely dependent on me that I’ll need to take care of.
I’m right where I belong. I love the company I work for. Have I mentioned that before? It’s an odd sensation to know that you’re where you truly belong. I wake up each morning and I’m thankful to be where I am at… to work with the guys that I work with. PowerServe is an amazing company. We’ve truly been blessed this year — with great clients, great employees, great projects…
Thank you, Lord. Thank you for my wife, and my son. Thank you for bringing me to PowerServe, for giving us the opportunities you have, for allowing us to grow and prosper. Thank you for your love, Lord. Thank you for showing me Your glory. In You, all things are possible. And You continue to show me that each and everyday.
2006 is going to be a great year.
